Panthers Win Stoddard Bowl Advance to CIAC Tournament
The Platt Panthers reign victorious over the Maloney Spartans in the 53rd annual Stoddard Bowl for the third year in a row, this time with a score of 26-7. Anthony "Tank" Sanders took the defensive MVP award for his part in the game and Henry Jackson was named MVP for the entire game. Justin Potts received the underclassman trophy thus shutting out Maloney for any awards. The Panthers now lead the Spartans 28-24-1 in the Stoddard Bowl series. The Panthers moved on to the CIAC Class M state championship playoffs, but Maloney was kept out of the CIAC Class L tournament by virtue of this loss.
